Despite the endless miles of highway and its love affair with the automobile, America’s hitch hiking traditions were long ago spoiled by a hand-full of psychopathic murderers.
Not so in much of the rest of the world. Hitch-hiking in South West Turkey is cheap and fun. After our experiences here, I’m rooting for an American thumbs-up renaissance.

Pretty cool video. I like the theory about cost of the experience is inverted. I t was that way for us when we backpacked.. Im ready to do it again!!! Music was good also

This is by far my most favorite video Michael. I have never seen Andrea so hesitant to do something since she was 7. So glad you showed her how…altho the choice of drivers was not the, best. Looks like fun. And yes, as Lori said it is soooooo nice to hear your voices. Keep up the taping it’s great!

We have to do this, if only to prove that the acccusation we are not keen on the internet is a vicious slur. That said, we haven’t actually listened to the video because the speakers for the computer did not emerge for a year from the nightmare of cardboard which accompanied us back from Sofia, and have now been stolen by number two son and taken to his bedroom, which is a no-go zone of galactic proportions. We are nevertheless very excited to have stumbled into your virtual world and to be able to contact you on a regular basis. So watch out - and all the very best for 2008.
